Sarah is a horticultural writer and editor for more than 20 years, working on websites, magazines, books, radio shows and TV. Her life-long love of plants, especially houseplants, was triggered by her parents and grandparents. Passionate about orchids, and for 10 years she was Editor of The Orchid Review magazine for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). A member of the RHS Orchid Committee, and a trainee Orchid Judge. Her early career, at the BBC, was spent on Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, Gardeners’ World magazine and the BBC Gardening Website. She then worked on Garden Answers magazine, returning to the BBC to join Gardeners’ World TV show. She left the RHS two years ago to become self-employed, editing and designing books about orchids and writing about plants. Sarah travels a lot and loves seeing tropical plants in the wild, and tending her 100+ plants at home.
