Rebecca Knight
Rebecca is the Deputy Editor on Ideal Home online. She has worked as a homes and interiors journalist for over four years. She began interning at various publications such as Scottish Woman Magazine and The Mail on Sunday's Event Magazine whilst studying for a bachelor's degree in Modern History at the University of St Andrews. After graduating she attained her Masters in Magazine Journalism at City, University of London in 2018, and interned at Harper's Bazaar and Town & Country.
She started her career as a feature writer for Women's Weekly Magazines, before joining the Ideal Home digital team covering news and features. Whilst working on Ideal Home she developed an interest in property news and covered breaking stories around house prices and interviewed key industry figures. In 2020 she was nominated and highly commended in the AOP Digital Rising Star category for her work on Ideal Home.
In 2021 she moved into the role of News Editor across the Future homes and gardens brands, including Gardeningetc.com. In 2022 she moved into the role of Deputy Editor on Ideal Home.
She lives in a rented flat in South London where she makes the most of window boxes to create small container gardens. Inside she has a jungle of houseplants in nearly every room which she does her best to keep up with regular watering and repotting.
